Seeking New Leadership in 2019
If operations are to exist we need active leadership, recruiting volunteers, holding events. We have recoiled into a virtual operation.
It all started with "The basics of 3-D" on Sunday, June 19, 2016 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. We progressed from a community meetup to obtaining our 501(c)(3) approval February 2, 2017. We bring Technology Education to the communities, taking parts of the makerspace to them. Our longest running program is "Saturday Electronics at the Towson Library", where twice a month, we teach kids using a mobile maker lab such topics as: programming multiple languages, hardware, drones, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and much more.
The goals of TMS are twofold. We focus on growing our clients in both number and knowledge. To this end, TMS plans to teach students using hands-on, how-to exercises and subsequently test their applied knowledge. Our goal is to teach at least one walk-in customer every day. At every outreach event, TMS plans to teach and test at least 5 children. TMS will initiate conversations with 15 people attending an outreach event and retain these outreach customers, tracking their progress over the years as they learn new concepts. TMS will grow with our business customers' needs, introducing new technologies.
